Worth every bit of effort, Saddle Peak is one of L.A.’s hidden gems. From the Pacific Coast Highway to Saddle Peak junction, you are immersed in an iconic stretch of California cycling. The summit is one of the highest points of the Santa Monica Mountains, providing a 360° view of the Pacific Ocean, mountains, and the valley. Our preferred route begins with a four mile warm up from the PCH to Topanga Canyon, then an eight mile climb winding through Fernwood and Tuna Canyon Road, with gradients peaking at 10%. But no matter which route you choose, all roads lead to Saddle Peak.
